Suburban Horror Story

Street Grace · The Studio Years · 2015 -- 2019

This is a live experience we created for client, Street Grace. We turned an average home in an affluent neighborhood in GA into a real life haunted house — a human sex trafficking house — to expose and bring attention to the very-real-life domestic human sex trafficking epidemic we have in GA, in our country, thriving right where we live, in our communities.

The experience was interactive, actors in every part of the house bringing it to life, the experience getting progressively darker as you progressed. Visitors were picked up in a white van, then witnessed the host picking up a young girl, then everyone is taken to the house. You then enter the house not realizing you are in the role of a prospective buyer.

We also posted the experience as an interactive, 360˚ video online for those who couldn't be there at the house in GA.

One of the most gratifying projects I have ever been part of.

Four studio builds -- 360i, then Viacom, R/GA, and BBDO Atlanta -- inside the biggest agency structures in the business, during the era of traditional big-idea production: network TV, Super Bowl spots, the polished end of the craft. Same core problem every time: how do you build a creative production engine inside an organization that wasn't designed for one?
